That QuickTime movie of a volcano you've used in science class may soon start looking flat, as VR and AR make their way into the mainstream. Prepare for a wave of hype but also for a wave of genuinely engaging and effective new learning tools. We'll overview what's here and what's coming and demonstrate Oculus Rift, Google's Cardboard, ARIS, and my 1955 Viewmaster.
